If an action-packed, no-frills first person shooter that doesn’t take itself too seriously sounds like a good time, then this may be worth a look. Thoughts- Shadow Warrior 3 is more than just a step up from its predecessor – it’s ultimately a different direction that still maintains the series’ penchant for humor and bloodshed.
Certain characters feel underutilized or used only for jokes like Motoko. The levels are extremely linear with no secrets or extras to find.

The story is full of plot holes especially if you like Shadow Warrior 2. Some of the dialogue and jokes come off more cringe than funny. Makes it worse that there are no extra modes besides replaying the campaign and even then you can only start from the beginning. I beat it on medium difficulty in 5 hours. The voice acting is surprisingly well done especially from Mike Moh as Lo Wang. The level design feels more focused and well emphasized and the environments look great. The movement feels responsive and the controls are very fluid. The gore weapons especially work really well. I beat it on Good- The combat is amazing and has awesome variety.
